Acceptance

If your stance is that you’re always looking for something wrong, you’re always going to find it (eventually). On some level, love is acceptance.

No one is perfect, and every person will annoy or disappoint you in some way. It’s about understanding your deal breakers, and which traits are workable or not.

Someone who snores or grinds their teeth at night might be easier to endure than someone who betrays you at every turn.

A loving partner with halitosis might bless your life far more than one with an unaddressed addiction problem.

It doesn’t mean we don’t address our concerns or try to make things better.

Balance not sweating the small stuff (acceptance) with knowing your dealbreakers and not tolerating the big stuff.

Life can feel very long when you’re banging your head against an unsolvable relationship dynamic that is unlikely to change, and either has become, or always has been, a dealbreaker for you.
